China - First impressions

I've arrived in Beijing, China, about three days ago. Two months ago, when I decided to give this experience a chance, I was looking for an interesting challenge to get my traveling wheels spinning with renewed energy and to bring my AIESEC experience full circle :o). And here I am.

Beijing so far has been good to me, except for the weather which is short of the sunny spring I was hoping for .. and the air, which as I must admit, is a little polluted, but breathable still.

The best part about this journey thus far - it's only been a short time, I admit - have been the people I met! China, indeed, has a different culture and experience than any country I have ever seen, giving me a chance to listen and understand, to reflect.

I'm forever impressed with how warm and friendly everyone has been, even those that have met me for something short of an hour. And of course, the MC here has been awesome welcoming me, making sure I start off on the right foot and somehow tolerating my strange need to keep moving and be somewhat on my own. (hahaha - yes, I am writing this because I know you're likely reading it too :p).

I shall try to keep my posts to non-novelistic lengths so this is it for now. The pics are from my first day in Beijing :)
