There she goes again :)

As I was sipping a beer on a roof-top overlooking the ocean :o), talking to a new friend about the meaning of life, it finally kicked in - I am in Hong Kong, have been here for three days !

So, back to the start. Woke up on Friday morning, discovered I have issues with my stay in China, went into a travel agency around noon, asked for a HK ticket. For when, you might ask? - "any time between now and Sunday, returning Tuesday". Yup, that same evening I was on the plane!

My short adventure in HK was awesome - great city, great parties; wonderful views, wonderful people. It's a combination of old and new, somewhat older and more established than Shanghai, with the same vibrant buzz of people going places. Life seems to be at its height - tourists, locals and expatriates roam the streets, day and night, working, going out, running around, having fun.
Noisy bars and little restaurants find their way scattered on wavy streets - I somehow felt the comfort of a familiar European atmosphere of people enjoying a drink with their friends, until the wee hours of the night ... and the familiar ending to such an adventure, realizing the wee hours of the night have left way to the not-so-wee hours of the morning and the sun got to my room significantly before I did ... :o) Life is short.

Hilly streets fade away into the ocean, with a beautiful skyline and the peaceful smell of water. I love the water, I've missed its smell; The rhythmic dance of the waves has always had a soothing effect on my soul.

Let's see where life takes me next :) - For now, back to Shanghai, getting ready to say good-bye. In a few days I shall be on the train or airplane, with my bag, wandering around China. I miss the road .. I'm pretty sure once on the road, I will discover how much I miss Shanghai.

Cheers!

--For the sewing circle ;) - some things never change. Still missing flights, still doing things the very last minute, sometimes getting in trouble. Life has never been boring ;).--

Hi Rita dear :o)

HK was indeed awesome :). Loved it.

I have no excuse - I've been on the road for years, still didn't learn. It's my lifestyle ;) ... and all kinds of afterwards-amusing mix ups is my one special talent! - hahaha.

Cheers!
